Queensland opens its doors to skilled migrants in 70 businesses

In the first year, 200 locations have been provided for skilled foreign workers ranging from childcare workers to mechanics and cooks to farm inspectors.

Regional Queensland is now open to talented and semi-skilled foreign workers in 70 businesses, ranging from restaurant supervisor to mechanic and cooks to childcare employer.

The 5-year Far North Queensland Designated location Migration Agreement (FNQ DAMA) came into force on Sep 12, 2019, and is now open to businesses and employers to sponsor skilled immigrants across the Mareeba Casovari Coast, Tablelands,, Cairns and Douglas Shire . Through the Cairns Chamber of Commerce.

In the 1st year, 200 locations have been provided for the sector in search of skilled foreign workers ranging from childcare workers to mechanics and cooks to agricultural inspectors.
