Australia announces major visa updates to attract students skilled migrants

Australian Immigration Minister Alex Hawke announced visa updates regarding Skilled Regional Provisional Subclass 489 491 and 494 visas and made some changes to the rules to enter Australia on Temporary Graduate subclass 485 visa holders those stuck Overseas due to Covid-19.

Australia announces major visa updates to attract students skilled migrants

Australian Immigration Minister Alex Hawke announced visa updates regarding Skilled Regional Provisional (Subclass 489, 491, and 494) visas and made some changes to the rules to enter Australia on Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa holders those stuck Overseas due to Covid-19.

Minister Hawke tells that 43,000 international students have returned after the announcement by the federal government allowing the fully vaccinated eligible visa holders to enter the country.

Some Major Update by the Government are written below:

 

  • From Date 18 February 2022 the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visas holders can return to Australia.
  • Graduate Students stuck due to Covid-19 outside Australia between 1 February 2020 and 14 December 2021, Government announced to extend visas for graduates who were outside the country.
  • Australian Govt also give rebate in visa fees for international students & holidaymakers.

The Australian government will extend Skilled Regional Provisional (subclass 489, 491, and 494) visas by three years for visa holders affected due to the COVID-19 international travel guidelines restrictions.

This provides additional time for all New and Old Skilled Regional Provisional visa holders to make their arrangements for travel and start living and working in Australia. Australian Govt Said.

The federal government expects to assist about 10,000 skilled regional workers. Visa holders of Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visas stuck due to Covid-19 outside Australia will re-enter the country after 18 February and apply for a TR and other. The Visas of the graduate students who were outside of Australia between 1 February 2020 up to 14 December 2021 will be extended for graduates who were outside of Australia between 1 February 2020 and 14 December 2021, while they held a valid Temporary Graduate visa.

This is Good News for the Students and they will visit Australia and apply for the new TR with the help of Best Immigration Consultants in Australia. The extension will take effect on or after 18 February 2022 & visa holders get direct an email from the Department of Home Affairs of the extension of their visa and may arrive after this occurs, from 18 February onwards.
